Active and Passive Forms

1. Simple Present Tense
 
    S + V1 + s/es + O    --->    O + to be + V3 + by + S
 
    (A)  I play violin.
    (P)  Violin is played by me.


2. Present Continous Tense

    S + to be + Ving + O    --->    O + to be + being + V3 + by + S

    (A)  Karina is riding the bicycle.
    (P)  The bicycle is being ridden by her (Karina).


3. Present Perfect Tense

    S + have/has + V3 + O    --->    O + have/has + been + V3 + by + S

    (A)  We have won the game.
    (P)  The game have been won by us.


4. Simple Past Tense

    S + V2 + O    --->    O + was/were + V3 + by + S

    (A)  Laiqa finished the test.
    (P)  The test was finished by her (Laiqa).


5. Past Continous Tense

    S + was/were + Ving + O    --->    O + was/were + being + V3 + by + S

    (A)  They were playing badminton.
    (P)  Badminton was being played by them.


6. Past Perfect Tense

    S + had + V3 + O    --->   O + had + been + V3 + by + S

    (A)  Jonas had bought a car.
    (P)  A car had been bought by him (Jonas).


7. Simple Future Tense

    S + will + V1 + O    --->    O + will + be + V3 + by + S

    (A)  I will marry you.
    (P)  You will be married by me.


8. Future Perfect Tense

    S + shall/will + have + V3 + O    --->    O + shall/will + have + been + V3 + by + S

    (A)  They will have completed the project before the deadline.
    (P)  The project will have been completed by them before the deadline.


9. Be Going To

    S + to be + going to + V1 + O    --->    O + to be + going to + be + V3 + by + S

    (A)  Sean is going to help Sarah.
    (P)  Sarah is going to be help by Sean.

(A)  =  Active form
(P)  =  Passive form
